JUVENILE IDIOPATHIC ARTHRITIS (JIA)

I know how exhausting, frustrating, and overwhelming parenting a child with chronic health problems can be. I’ve been in your position.


My daughter was 2 when diagnosed with autoimmune Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). After a focus on integrative and functional medicine nutrition (addressing her root causes and healing her gut) she has been in unmedicated remission since 2020. You can read more here.


You may have tried many things and can’t get to the bottom of your child's health problems. You may have spent many hours researching and visiting doctors and specialists. Your child may be eating well but still not getting better. You’ll do whatever it takes.

I understand the power of food and impact that it has on the systems in your child's body. I collaborate with you and your child's health team so we can work out ‘what is going on in there’.

It’s going to take consistency and being persistent. It’s going to take a holistic approach to identify the root causes and address them all.

OPTION 1: WORKSHOPS

Watch them in your own time

I've developed workshops to help you start making changes (click here to access). This option is best if you want help in slowly making changes to your child (and household’s) nutrition, especially in targeted areas (such as removing gluten / dairy, strategies to picky eaters, where to start in upgrading your family's nutrition etc). ​

You’ll get access to:

  • The pre-recorded workshop that you can watch in your own time

  • Resources (these vary for each workshop) - may include recipes, eBooks, templates to help you make changes

  • Access to a supportive community with likeminded parents and me

OPTION 2: FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE NUTRITION CONSULTATION

Individual Consultation/s

An initial Integrative and Functional Medicine Nutrition Consultation is 2-hours where I explore what’s going on for your child and develop them a bio-individual plan.


This option is best if you:

  • Want to start investigating some of the potential root causes

  • Want a bio-individual plan for your child to optimise their gut health and nutrition

  • Want to run some functional tests (gut/poop, urine, hair – available in the USA and Australia)

OPTION 3: THE PARENT'S ROADMAP TO JIA

4-Month Program

This 4-month program (you'll have access for 12 months) will help you to make nutrition and lifestyle upgrades, including reducing foods that are hurtful (inflammatory) and increasing foods that are helpful (anti-inflammatory).

This program includes:

  • Delicious and Nutritious Family Friendly Recipes - Your child (or family) won’t feel deprived with the amazing recipes I have put together for you, and you’ll know exactly what to buy and cook. I share with you how to transition to removing gluten, dairy and sugar (and explain why) and also share with you some powerful ‘functional foods’ that are known to be anti-inflammatory.

  • Pre-Recorded Lessons (that you can view in your own time) - You will be guided through the program with step by step actions, helping you to make nutrition and lifestyle changes that fit in with your busy life. In these lessons I share with you some of the recent evidence around gut health and JIA, helping you to make changes that will support your child

  • Daily Support in a Closed Group - You’ll have my personal support and the support of other parents each step of the way in a private group, so you never feel stuck or like you’re alone.​

  • Detailed Guide (eBook) - A comprehensive guide so you know what to do and when; along with details on the latest research supporting nutritional intervention for children with JIA.​

  • Daily Protocol - An easy-to-follow document that you can print out and post on your fridge so you can stay on track.
